What it is
Business capital loans are term loans underwritten on the strength of your operating business. Many are SBA 7(a) business-only loans, which do not require real estate and can be used to buy a business, expand, or add working capital. Lenders will usually take a lien on business assets and may take other available collateral.

What lenders look for
- A for-profit operating business with financial statements and tax returns.
- Cash flow that comfortably covers the new payment.
- Good personal credit for the owners and guarantors.
- For acquisitions: a purchase agreement or LOI and relevant industry experience.
Figures are general examples drawn from current lender programs, not an offer or commitment to lend. Actual terms are set by the lender and depend on the deal, the borrower, and underwriting.
